Welcome to the Elvidge Livestock Farm web page. We are located in central Illinois 30 miles south of Springfield. Currently we are raising Southdown sheep and South African Boer goats with a few donkeys on the side.  Our goat project started in the fall of 1999 when Monty took a leave from college and headed south to work for Rena Lynch of Bosque Valley Boer Goats. Several years later in the summer of 2003 the first goats arrived from Texas via Rena. We have had wonderful success improving our doe base and now have put ourselves in the position that we may now offer young does to sell. The show ring is still a few years away since our showmen is just big enough to carry a bucket. We hope we can help you get started in the business or just add something new to an existing one,  so please feel free to contact us with any questions we’ll try to answer them.
